We are a group of lay Catholics from the United States who share a deep enthusiasm for the writings that Our Lord granted to the world through Maria Valtorta. In 2021, our work began as a small, four-person group—three based in California and one in Massachusetts—meeting regularly to discern how these writings might be better introduced and promoted in the United States and Canada, where we believed they remained relatively unknown.
Our initial plan was to create a single new website. However, under the leadership of Bill Germino, a professional web designer, it quickly became clear that the scope and depth of the material we wished to present would be better served through multiple, purpose-driven websites rather than a single platform.
The “California crew”—Josephine, Drew, and Pam—already knew one another through a small U.S.-based Maria Valtorta readers’ group and were eager to contribute to this new initiative. They brought with them extensive familiarity with the writings themselves, along with valuable connections to other Valtorta readers and organizations around the world.
As a grassroots effort that met approximately every two weeks in the aftermath of COVID, we spent many hours discerning how best to convey the uniqueness, authenticity, and spiritual richness of the Valtorta writings. Along the way, we experienced what we believe to be Our Lord’s guidance, as He led us to others who shared the same purpose and enthusiasm. These encounters gradually formed a network of relationships spanning multiple countries and continents.
This journey ultimately brought us into contact with the Italian publisher of Maria Valtorta’s works, Centro Editoriale Valtortiano (CEV). After sharing our vision and presenting an early prototype of the website concept, we were invited to become part of CEV’s nonprofit and volunteer arm, known as the Heritage Foundation.
Today, we have formal authorization from CEV to use the written works of Maria Valtorta. In 2022, we officially incorporated in the United States as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. With this foundation in place, we are now developing and pursuing a variety of initiatives to increase awareness of these writings and make them more accessible to a wider audience.
Above all, our prayer is that Our Lord may direct every aspect of this work toward the salvation of souls, and that we may always remain faithful to the teachings of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.
